After a tough decision for the jury, the winners of the Languages Speak Up! competition have now been announced. The 1st prize goes to Khafi Kareem from London.

To celebrate the European Day of Languages, the EUNIC in Brussels led Poliglotti4.eu project and Language Rich Europe launched a competition to find Language Ambassadors who are willing to lend their voice to the cause of language learning by creating a short video of their linguistic journey.

We’d like to thank all participants for their submissions, their enthusiasm and their creativity! After a tough decision for the jury, the winners of the Languages Speak Up! competition have now been announced.

The first prize goes to Khafi Kareem, a 22 year old student from London who speaks fluently French, Italian, English, Yoruba and British Sign Language. 

The second prize goes to young Lithuanian rapper Deividas Jakavicius who is fluent in Lithuanian, English and Russian.

23 year old Sophie Reece-Trapp from England won the third prize, impressing the jury with her French, English, German and Dutch language skills.
